For number 7, are we supposed to discuss a disorder that covers sensory, processing, and cognitive (all 3 of them) or a different disorder for each of these areas individually?
This is the very last question I attempted to answer and its sooo confusing Im not real sure what it is asking so if anyone could help me out Id be eternally grateful
Give an example of a type of exceptionality that would fit into the area of children who have sensory, processing and cognitive challenges. Explain why you put that type of exceptionality into that category.
We went over this a few different weeks in class when I drew the three categories on chart paper. I would expect to see a different disorder or area of exceptionality for EACH cateory listed above. But, certainly will accept ONE disorder if it fits into multiple categories.
The reason a disorder fits into a specific category is because children with that disorder experience a BARRIER relative to that category. They have a barrier that prevents information or learning due to sensory issues or processing issues or cognitive issues.
I just did one of them.
ReplyDeleteI did all of them... not really sure though...
ReplyDeleteSo you did one disorder that fit into all those categories or did you do three separate disorders that fit into one category.

I'm glad I read this before I submitted the test. I didn't know if you wanted three different things, or one big thing.
