Hey! I was just wondering if anyone else was affected by the recent tornado activities? I know it hit hard where I live and was very scary! Thank God it didn't hit my house, but people I know and am close with lost everything they owned plus loved ones. It's just scary to think that in the blink of an eye everything can be gone!
Wow, this is sad. I wasn't affected by them but my heart goes out to everyone who was. I am glad you are ok.
ReplyDeleteIt was very scary. It hurts just to look at the damage that it did. It is very scary to think that one minute you can be in your home watching TV or cooking dinner and the next minute everything you have ever worked for is gone. My heart goes out to everyone who was affected. It is great to see, though, how our town has pulled together and done everything they can to help the ones who lost everything. It makes me proud to say I am from Laurel County.
ReplyDeleteMy family was lucky. We got golf ball size hail at my house in Powell County. The high school I went to in Wolfe County roof was destroyed. My grandpa and aunt live in Menifee County and had some damaged from tornado's, but fortunately were unharmed. It was so sad traveling through the areas of Morgan and Menifee, the pictures do not even come close to showing the devastation. Where do you live Katelynn?
ReplyDeleteI live in Laurel County, where East Bernstadt is located.
ReplyDeleteMy hometown and surrounding counties were hit really hard. I’m from Johnson County and driving home from Richmond is heart
ReplyDeletebreaking. The mountain parkway used to be one of my favorite drives, but now it looks like a war zone. We set up a relief drive to help all of the victims! It was very nice to see people joining together and helping others pick up the pieces of their lives that were destroyed.
I wasn't affected personally but areas that I am familiar with back home such as West Liberty and Salyersville was hit extremely hard. It will take years for them to rebuild they literally lost everything.
