I found a website completely dedicated to last night's class discussion. The National Center for Learning Disabilities website is all about students with learning disabilities. The information ranges from dealing with bullying, to examples of artwork submitted by students with LD. There are personal testimonies from people who overcame their LD and did not let it define their life. There is parent information on legal rights and matters, as well as tips for teachers to help reach each of their students individually. There are numerous links for articles on effective teaching strategies and intervention research. I have bookmarked this website because I know it will be very helpful to me in my future classroom. Check it out and tell me what you think!
