Melt Down =/

So was anyone else really confused with tonight's class over the whole project? I don't know about ya'll, but i'm very overwhelmed with all this paper work. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue where to even start =/
Help?

  1. yeah I was looking through all those papers and I have no clue where to begin. but after my brain gets some much needed rest I will for sure go back and look at it before the end of this week. Hopefully I will be able to do this assignment smoothly.

  2. I know it does feel overwhelming at first.

Start with the one pager with the A. B. C. on it that you went over with another person and wrote 5 questions. That walks you through step by step how to do the language project. If you follow those steps you should not have any difficulty.

You have to choose ONE area of language to analyze.

Choose either syntax, semantics or pragmantics.

So, to help you understand how to do an analysis of those I went over each type tonight. You have the packet for each. You will only NEED ONE of those.

Feel free to continue to ask questions about any and all of them on the blog.

  4. I was also a little confused. I'm glad I read this! When I left class I was thinking we had to do all three instead of just one.

  6. I agree that it was a lot of information to take in at once. It also seems very time consuming and tedious. Hopefully though, once we start actually doing it, it will not seem as bad. Those extra sessions that she set up should also help tremendously to clear up any further confusion. And, of course, we can all post questions, ideas, and concerns right here on the blog so no one will be alone or without help. :)
